Every bartender on our team comes from Denver's established cocktail scene. They've worked high-volume service, managed complex menus, and trained under some of the city's best bar programs.
That expertise shows up in everything from how we prep ingredients (everything made from scratch), to how we design our menus (based on actual flavor profiles, not Pinterest trends), and how we manage service flow at 600+ person events (draft cocktail systems that maintain quality at scale).
We're not trying to reinvent bartending. We're just applying the standards of Denver's best cocktail bars to private events.
Building Something Better
After 14 years in Denver's hospitality scene –from dishwasher to bar manager and GM, Aidan Wren had seen all sides of the hospitality industry. He's built cocktail programs for some of Denver's best bars and watched talented bartenders turn down lucrative private events because they were locked into weekend shifts.
The private event bartending market was flooded with part-timers and side-giggers who were great for basic service, but they couldn't deliver the craft cocktail experience that corporate clients and discerning hosts were actually willing to pay for.
So in 2023, Aidan launched Mile High Mixologists with a simple goal: recruit the bartenders who were too good for typical event work. Professionals from Denver's top cocktail bars who wanted flexibility without sacrificing their standards. Mixologists who knew the difference between shaking and stirring, and why the difference matters.
What started as a small team serving intimate gatherings has grown into Colorado's premier cocktail catering company, serving everyone from Fortune 500 companies to mountain resort weddings. But the mission hasn't changed: bring cocktail bar quality to events of any scale.
